• Is this safe to use with retinoids/tretinoin?

  If you're using prescription retinoids, we always recommend checking with your doctor before adding in a new active. You can also do a patch test, or just alternate days or the times of day you use each—using your retinoid at night and this spot treatment in the morning.

• Is this safe for pre-teens/teens?

  While our 2% BHA Spot Treatment was tested for safety and efficacy on adults, it should be safe for both teens and pre-teens. We always recommend checking with the child's doctor before starting any new skincare regimen.

• When in my routine should I use this?

  You’ll want to use the 2% BHA Spot Treatment on clean, dry skin—right after cleansing and before moisturizer. If you’re using a hydrating serum, apply the spot treatment after serum. But to avoid irritation, skip layering it with other exfoliating acids or retinoids; you can alternate days or times of day instead. Don’t forget sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to protect your skin.

• Can this be used on the body?

  Yes! Our 2% BHA Spot Treatment is safe to control breakouts on both your face and your body.

• Is this safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

  Our 2% BHA Spot Treatment wasn’t tested on people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and some doctors recommend limiting the use of AHAs and BHAs during that time. We suggest checking with your doctor before adding this product to your routine.
