  • Can this be used on the face for psoriasis?

    Our KP + PsO Smoothing Body Treatment was specifically formulated for and clinically tested on body skin—so we don’t recommend using it on your face. It contains a high concentration of exfoliating acids that may be too strong for facial skin, and its rich butters could clog pores or cause breakouts. That said, areas like the scalp or behind the ears may tolerate it—just be sure to patch test first to check for any sensitivity.

  • Can this be used if I have eczema?

    While our KP + PsO Smoothiing Body Treatment was designed to exfoliate without compromising the moisture barrier, dermatologists often recommend avoiding exfoliating acids if you’re eczema-prone. We suggest checking with your doctor to see if it’s a good fit for your skin.

  • Can this product be used on deep skin tones?

    KP + PsO Smoothing Body Treatment was carefully formulated to be safe for all skin types and tones. If you have melanin-rich skin that's prone to hyperpigmentation and want to be extra cautious, we recommend doing a patch test before full application.

  • Can I use this after shaving?

    If your skin is sensitive, you might not want to use KP + PsO Smoothing Body Treatment on the same day you shave, since shaving already exfoliates the skin. Layering another exfoliant on top too soon can lead to irritation. It’s best to wait a day and let your skin recover first.

  • Is this safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

"This is the fix! I’ve used this for the first time 3x in the last 3 days, which has left my skin a little sensitive and tender, but then again, I didn’t read the directions, so that one’s on me. That being said, my arms are smoother than they’ve ever been in my entire life, and I have tried what feels like every product under the sun to clear up KP. Can I use this on healed tattoos?
Hi Elizard, Yes! The gentle exfoliating acids can actually help keep tattoos looking fresh by removing the dull, dead skin cells on the surface—just make sure the tattoo is fully healed before applying. We hope this helps!
Can we use this during pregnancy?
Hi Mom, Thanks for reaching out! Our products are considered safe during pregnancy. However, some doctors suggest limited use of products with BHA's or AHA's (although most consider them safe). We would suggest checking with your doctor for their point of view on using products with BHA's and AHA's while pregnant and breast feeding. Our resurface+
Can this be followed with the AHA / BHA renewing cream, or is there a different moisturizer that would be better? I find that this is not moisturizing enough to use on its own.

Is this ok to use on the face?
Hi Claire, Thank you for reaching out. KP doesn't present on face but for PsO, some people get on scalp area / behind ears, you can apply to those areas. Should I avoid using this after shaving?
Hi Alejandra, Thank you for reaching out. We would recommend to avoid using directly after shaving as shaving is a physical exfoliation of the skin - and following with chemical exfoliants like AHA/BHA could be irritating to the skin. We would recommend a barrier moisturizer like our Barrier + (name of body moisturizer) on shave days - and the Resurface+ KP + PsO Smoothing Body Treatment on non-shave days. We hope this helps!
Under warnings on the back of the bottle for the KP + PsO Smoothing Body Treatment, it says “contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration”. Does this mean you should only use the product for a couple days in a row at most? Couple weeks then give the skin a rest from the product? Some of the instructions online seem to be contradictory to what’s on the bottle and that daily use for any length of time is okay. I’m loving the results from the KP + PsO Smoothing Body Treatment, but want to make sure I’m using it properly.
Hi Rachel, Thank you for reaching out and for your question. The regulations in Canada are mandatory for all products that have AHA or an AHA blend of over 3%. If you are using the product daily and your skin has no intolerance to use- you can continue to use as you have been.
