We believe in kindness…

At Skinfix we believe in being kind to your skin. Your skin is an incredible organ: It keeps you hydrated, it defends against aggressors, it signals when something is hot or cold, it supports internal wellness, its ripples and grooves help express our emotions, its lines tell our story, its surface stimulates the enjoyment of human touch. Our skin can help heal itself if given the right nutrients, environment, protection, encouragement, and time.

We believe that there is no 'one size fits all' in skincare….

The notion that simply avoiding certain ingredients will resolve all skin concerns for all skin types, is not valid. There are many different skin types, conditions and scenarios. Dr. Baumann, a highly respected dermatologist, devised a classification system that designates 16 specific skin types – comprised of a matrix of factors. She has researched extensively and spent years in clinical practice to come up with her philosophy on the 16 classifications, called “The Baumann Skin Types” system. Dr. Baumann curates skincare regimens that cater to the specific needs and conditions of each skin category.

We believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts…

If you or someone you love has ever struggled with eczema, then you will know that colloidal oatmeal does not resolve the problem. There was a new moon in Libra on Sept 23. New moons are a time to set intentions for the month, to start something new. The moon gives us this gift every month – she encourages us to turn the page, to start a new chapter. I always get a burst of energy, motivation and excitement with the new moon. I love change!
